Transfers

There is only one way into and out of the valley. As such, the route from Albertville to Moutiers
and Bourg St. Maurice can get very busy on Saturdays. Obviously the worst of this occurs over
the peak holiday periods. In order to avoid the traffic and potential delays we recommend early
flights in both directions. If your outbound flight arrives mid morning you can be on the road by
11 and avoid the queues to the resort. Like wise, if your homeward flight departs at 11am you
would need to leave your resort at 7am and would again avoid the traffic.

Train

Eurostar run a direct and non-stop service from London St Pancras to Bourg Saint Maurice Station. The rail station at Bourg is a 30 min taxi transfer to the chalet apartment. The service runs on a Friday evening and Saturday Morning. Journey time is 7 hours with prices from £150 return.

Car

If you drive, you can cross the Channel by Eurostar (see above) or ferry. Ferries from Dover
to Calais take about 2 hours. Try P&O, SeaFrance, or see Dover Calais Ferries, where you
can compare and book different operators. You can also call on 08704 585 120
(Mon to Fri 8am-8pm, Sat and Sun 9am-5pm).

Les Coches is about 620 miles from Calais - 10 hours drive. Most of the
journey is on major autoroutes. Driving is particularly cost-effective if you're in a large group.
French fuel prices are lower than in the UK, but remember that you'll have to pay autoroute tolls.
Allow about €65 for tolls on both inbound and outbound journeys.
